Domotex 2010 - Barlinek's Fair Success

The past few days in Hanover have seen the end of the Domotex Trade Fair - the largest floor industry exhibition in the world. The event lasted 4 days, and gathered over 1,400 exhibitors from almost 80 countries. Every time this fair is held there are premieres of new products, accompanying events and many interesting discussions about current and future trends. The country's leading manufacturers simply had to be present, and among them was Barlinek - the largest producer of wooden floors - which presented an advanced system for joining floorboards, a broad range of solid wood boards and many other new and impressive floors.

"This year's exhibition was undoubtedly one of the most successful events of its kind which Barlinek has taken part in recent years," says Grzegorz Sroga, director of Barlinek's marketing department. "This is proven by the formula of the stand, which was very well received by clients, by the presentation of an extraordinary number of new items, but at the same time the presentation of all our major product groups," considers Barlinek's marketing chief.

The leading motif of the stand was the new, unique and modern Fast Click System, which was developed by the company's production engineers. It was this debut that the display's formula was based around: printed materials distributed by hostesses at the fair announced the new joint, and pride of place at the stand went to Czesław Bortnowski, the master of the boards who demonstrated the ease with which boards are connected using Barlinek's joint, which makes assembly twice as fast as before! There was no lack of people eager to watch these exceptional presentations, or interested in the displays of barman skills by of Eugeniusz Dytko, the World Champion Barman from Rio De Janeiro in Flair style. The master served up a cocktail in honour of the new Fast Click.

"Interest in the Fast Click System was greater than even my most confident expectations," was the verdict of Marek Janke, commercial director and member of Barlinek's Board of Management. "After the trade fair we'll consider the possibility of introducing the joint even sooner than we'd planned. Most of the clients would order their first consignment of Barlinek boards with the new joint as early as this quarter," assures Marek Janke.

Barlinek presented practically its entire product range at the fair. Those who had never had a chance to see the company's solid wood floors before were particularly pleasantly surprised. The whole collection of solid wood floors enjoyed great interest, especially the new finishings of brushed and stained boards. Oak floor dyes inspired particular interest, especially Pearl and Onyx, Coral and Beryl. The ash collection also proved popular: Quartz, Safir, Jasper and brushed and coloured Agate. The part of the display dedicated to new items from the Barlinek board range saw a consistently large number of visitors: dyed ash floors, both plain and 3-strip, and the smoked version of royal oak. Skirting boards, which Barlinek has been making since 2008, formed a natural continuation of the floor display. Many clients were interested in the profiles and colour schemes of the skirting boards available in the company's range. There was particular interest in the 90 mm high, simple yet effective skirting board - Barlinek's new product. The majority of those we talked with were distributors, but there was also no lack of manufacturers of related products. The company's display was completed by wood pellet, of which Barlinek is one of Europe's major producers.

"I'm satisfied with the talks I've had," said Robert Cedro, Barlinek's operations director. "I met with existing partners at the fair, but talked just as much with clients I didn't previously know, who were very interested in starting a collaboration with us. Some of the clients placed their first orders on the spot for the newly presented products," announced Robert Cedro.

Barlinek employees pointed out the exceptionally impressive list not only of new clients, but also of contacts from distant, almost exotic, lands, including Australia, Argentina, India, Iran, Mexico , Pakistan, South Africa, Thailand and the United Arab Emirates.
"The large-scale interest in our range among clients from outside Europe is the result of, among other things, an increased ecological awareness in many countries, the search for products with an FSO certificate, which testifies to the proper origin of the raw materials," believes Karolina Pietrzyk, Barlinek's sales manager.
